One Year Diploma continued:
- Music Technology. An essential part of the modern keyboard player’s skills is
to understand MIDI programming, and to be able to work with MIDI systems in a live performance and recording environment. You will also study modern studio technologies, allowing you access to the highly creative and lucrative industry of recorded music. This industry is now vast, encompassing TV, film, advertising and the latest video games.
This class will give an in-depth study of MIDI systems and their applications to contemporary keyboard playing, enabling you to be a versatile and creative professional keyboard player. Modern studio technologies are also introduced, and you will work with industry standard music software packages to build up effective backing tracks, work out solos and program your own music.
- Studio. Out of the practice studio and into the recording studio. Direct hands-
on experience in a professional recording environment.
You will learn: setting up your equipment, effects processing, recording,
mixing and studio awareness.
- Masterclasses. This is your chance to listen, learn from and actually meet
some of the world’s great players. Our regular Masterclass programme lets you hear how it really is.
- Student Support. Private Lessons. You may need extra help in a particular
area, or just need time to talk to a tutor on a topic of interest. Book a time slot and see an instructor.
